Während die ENFOPOL-Überwachungspläne hier zu
Kontinents in geschlossenen Komitees zwischen den

and co-founder Marc Andreessen told the Forrester Telecom
Forum today that a layered approach to telecommunications
would ultimately drive innovation and provide better service for

Fusion) Proponents of IPv6, a controversial upgrade to the

a report [PDF] titled "Telecommunications: Research and
Regulatory Efforts on Mobile Phone Health Issues." The
report, which was prepared at the request of Sen. Joe
Lieberman (D-CT) and Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA), states that
"the research to date doe s not show that mobile phone
radiofrequency emissions have adverse health effects but
there is not enough information at this point to conclude that
these products are without risk." Lieberman and Markey
called for further study.

WASHINGTON, D.C.-The Cellular Telecommunications &
Internet Association(CTIA)today officially released 2000's
wireless emergency service calls - totaling over 51 million for
the year, nearly 140,000 a day - equating to 96 calls per
minute. These calls ensure that emergency responses to life-
threatening situations are expedited and that drunk, impaired
and aggressive drivers are reported to the police and taken off
of America's streets and highways.

will boost wireless services spending at a 17.3 percent
compound annual growth rate thr ough 2004, according to the
